The development of science and technology has changed our world. Nowadays all spheres of the human life have developed their own innovations. Fashion is not the exception from the rule.

The new style elaborated by fashion is Unisex. You can meet a girl wearing the men's trousers and shirts while men have long hair and wear T-shirts of collections for girls.

They say the unisex style was developed in the 60-70s of the 20th century. The culture of punks has changed the fashion adding chaos and irrationalism. The designers of fashion only reflected the trends of the "street fashion". At last women started to wear jeans and trousers.

In the 70s the representative of femininity has become girl-reed. Very slim girls with the minimum size of breast and short haircut have become popular. Then the gays and feminists developed these trends. Later women gained the right to occupy the high positions in the offices and that is why businesswomen took the business suits of men and put on the ties. So fashion reflected the "new" woman and the new social role she got. The main features of businesswomen that are activity, efficiency, workability, leadership have reflected on fashion.

Unisex gained culminate point in 90s of the 20th century. Calvin Klein made the collection for teenagers where all the clothes could be worn as by girls as by boys. The main elements of this style were wide shabby sweaters, wide jeans and one-piece suits of less bright colours.

Youth liked this style and unisex has spread all over the world. Unisex has gained popularity not only in fashion but also in perfumery. The hairdresser's started to propose the new haircuts for both sexes. The traditional haircut made in unisex style is a short haircut when only a couple of centimetres of hair are left. The unisex doesn't accept any make-up.

The modern designers say that unisex is the style of future because people started to choose comfortable and simple clothing. The philosophy of this style is the identity of both genders: male and female. In this style the female details get into the clothes for men and vice versa.

This style deletes the differences between the two genders and creates the new "middle gender". The clothes made in this style is practical, comfortable and democratic.

The opponents of this style very often compare people dressed in this style with soldiers and prisoners that are dressed the same way and that is why men and women loose their specialities. Those who dress in this style say that people are not interesting and special thanks to their suits and clothes but thanks to their characters and tempers.
