Jeans and its history
Everybody is going to agree that jeans wear is the most popular and fashionable clothes nowadays. Besides, it is popular among all the youth and can be put on in any situation.
The history of jeans started 150 years ago and only nowadays jeans wear has become popular.
Levi Strauss the emigrant from Bavaria, founded a work shop in California where he began to sew jeans for miners and gold diggers. In 1853 his fabric started to produce overalls made of brown material that were used to make awning and tents. The material was brought from the Italian city Genoa. That is why the packages had the title Genes. But Americans read according to the rules of pronunciation of English language "jeans". In such a way the name for the material appeared that was not the jeans material like we know it nowadays.
The traditional colour of blue jeans has appeared casually because there was no tarpaulin and blue asparagus was used instead of it. This asparagus was made in the French city Nimes. "De Nimes" means from this city. In such a way the denomination of the blue material has become Denim.
But still the new material wasn't enough strong to hold the gold nuggets. So to save the pockets from tearing, tailors fixed them with clinchers. So the first jeans with clinches were made in1873 that were made of hardwearing fabric that were perfect for farmers and cowboys.
With the lapse of time jeans have spread in Europe. And during a couple of years it simply "conquered" the market. Jeans have become more and more popular and people started to add different prints and embroideries to it. The style has also changed. Now jeans material is used not only to make trousers, jackets, skirts, shorts, tops etc. but also different kinds of accessories like bags, shoes etc. Various colours of jeans from white to black colours are in the fashion in different periods of time. But there are no jeans out of fashion. All of them are fashionable always.
People combine different kinds of jeans of different colours in such a way inventing a great number of new models and creating the fashionable trend for season.
For a long time jeans considered to be the clothes of working class. That is why they were not worn by rich people and people with a good social status. But with the laps of time the most famous designers turned jeans into the most popular and expensive clothes. Now all the movie stars, politicians and even the members of the royal families have at least 2 or 3 jeans in their wardrobe. Not speaking of teenagers that consider jeans to be the greatest creation of humanity.
Besides jeans are comfortable fashionable and beautiful that is why it is so popular nowadays. They can be worn whenever you like. Nowadays there are jeans for summer, for winter, spring, autumn etc. So you can wear it all the year round. Nowadays it has changed a lot and has developed new cuts. So there are jeans that have tears and have a shabby look but they are still fashionable. Any way jeans are popular especially among the youth.
